Timber was born on January 7, 2012 at the RCMP Police Dog Services Training Centre in Innisfail, Alberta. Following his training, he worked with his handler, Sgt. Kris Chornomydz in Grande Prairie, Alberta and Portage La Prairie, Manitoba before retiring from the RCMP in June 2014.
In his retirement, Timber enjoys long belly scratches and he shows his love for them through his back-leg kicks when the scratch is just right! Like most dogs, Timber can’t live without his Kong and goes as far as bringing it with him everywhere with him.
Timber is currently on two medications for anti-inflammatory and pain relief from his Degenerative Myelopathy which has gotten progressively worse since December 2018. He used to drag his back legs until Ned’s Wish was able to assist in the purchase of a wheelchair. Timber can now run and play with all his doggie friends!
